This blog is devoted to tracking my progress in turning my 17 hand, 14 year old Dutch Warmblood gelding Olando into a very comfortable horse for me to ride. Andy is a half brother to the 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Royal Kaliber who unfortunately died soon after he won his medal. Andy who was also bred to be a jumper is a big powerful horse to ride. That doesn't make him very comfortable for me -- middle aged, short and somewhat dumpy -- to sit on. (That's not me riding him!) So I am going to work on transforming him into a great big circus pony.
